Morning Leaders. “You do not lead by hitting people over the head — that’s assault, not leadership.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower

Morning Leaders – Injustice
Morning Leaders. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Morning Leaders – Weight of Truth
Morning Leaders. Just the WEIGHT of Truth itself can cause someone not to accept it. The Truth may be so heavy it would require rapid and much change. Not everyone wants to change, for a variety of reasons.
Some of the organizations we have built have faulty designs. The Truth may require us to reconstruct or tear down and rebuild. That is a hard Truth for people to accept. Thus, the Truth is ignored and the unstable organization continues to hurt people as oppose to securing them. Unfortunately I have witnessed this more times than I want to acknowledge. #Truth #Structure
Morning Leaders – Currency of Leadership
Morning Leaders. “I think the currency of leadership is transparency. You’ve got to be truthful. I don’t think you should be vulnerable every day, but there are moments where you’ve got to share your soul and conscience with people and show them who you are, and not be afraid of it.” – Howard Schultz
Morning Leaders – Practice The Presence
Morning Leaders. External peace is beautiful but inner peace is even more beautiful. Practice the presence of Peace. It requires shutting down and shutting out distractions. It also requires a willingness to be in communion (not perfection) with the not so pretty things on the inside we would rather avoid. The continual running away from those things is a huge factor in our lack of peace. Today what would it look like if you slowed down, removed distractions, and practiced peace for and with yourself?
Morning Leaders – Hard Choices
Morning Leaders. Hard choices reveal who we are as leaders. Not everyone will love our choices. Hopefully we place the team’s goal ahead of our personal agenda or taste. No one likes following a leader who is self-seeking. The feeling of being disregarded and shafted is never a good one for the team.
Morning Leaders – #NoExcuses
Morning Leaders. Transformation is a choice. But you have to really want it. For real for real. Otherwise you will find an excuse to stay right where you have always been. #DropTheExcuse #MakeThatChange
Morning Leaders – Drucker’s Right
Morning Leaders. “Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things.” – Peter Drucker #Winning
Morning Leaders – Trust The Little Things
Morning Leaders. Even in the casual mundane conversations you can be a source of light and inspiration to others. Do not doubt your random act of kindness has the power to transform another life. Perhaps today consider even the “little things” as an opportunity to grace and bless another person. #Connections #Ripples
Morning Leaders – Your Voice Matters
Morning Leaders. Even if no one hears you right now, there will come a time when people will listen to you. Keep sharing your voice. It really does matter.
