After giving his people a history lesson about God’s goodness to them, Joshua, the leader, calls out all the Israelites regarding their commitment to the one true God.  He commands them to get rid of all their past gods they had worshipped.

Then he breaks down his position by stating, “Y’all can do you, but as for me and my whole family we will worship God”.
