Supporting Stupidity

Supporting Stupidity

Social media gives us a wonderful platform to express our opinions and share our world. But some people are just stupid. And affirming their stupidity by liking their posts only entrenches them deeper in that special place called Stupidity Landfill. Yes, Stupidity Landfill is real.

This Landfill is piling up with way too many people. Therefore we must diligently prevent these individuals from going deeper into the Landfill.

Here are Four Lifesaving Tips for those swimming in the Deep End of Stupidity Landfill:

1)Stop liking their bullshit posts. We all know they don’t live the thing they are posting. Stop being nice by acknowledging their posts. Ignore the post. As a matter of fact, just block or straight up delete them.

2)Tell them how stupid the post was. You can leave it in the comment section or just snapshot it and send it back to them stamped “STUPID”. I wish Instagram and Facebook had a Stupid Button to help facilitate this process.

(The irony is some of these posts instead of showing how clever and bright the person is, often times show how idiotic they really are.)

3)Report them to the authorities for making offensive posts. Yes, their stupidity is OFFENSIVE to the online community. They need to be punished for hurting the world with unnecessary and blatant stupidity.

4)Pray for them. Many of our friends in the Stupidity Landfill don’t know any better. They need a miracle from God to open up their minds and their hearts to real wisdom. And for those of you who celebrate your faith deeply, you can also fast for these people.

Thank you for acknowledging this Public Service Crisis Announcement. Now go and be a beautiful online citizen and STOP these Stupidity Bandits from running rampant on social media.

Pedal It

PEDAL IT

As the pedal moves, so do I. Well, really the bike moves which then allows me to proceed.

I just left the Team Indoor Bike Training session at Tread Bike Shop in the Heights. Fifty-five minutes of speed intervals directed by Coach. That was the hardest bike workout I have ever done. The bike is the biggest portion of the Ironman race so I need to work hard on this Bike training. The thought of one hundred and twelve miles of biking on race day sounds daunting. Who signs up for these kind of races?

Apparently this was my season to say YES to the 140.6 Miles that is an Ironman triathlon. My life will never be the same once I cross that line. Even now my life is changing. This dedication and hard work over these past six months is transforming me into an endurance machine. The finish line is four months away and I still have a great ways to go with my training.

In light of all the sacrifice that comes with Ironman, I am truly appreciating this journey.

Stay calm and focused Joseph. Be in the present. Enjoy this time. Don’t jump too far in the future. The work you put in today and the workouts to come are all deposits in the Ironman Fitness account which is compounding for an awesome race day experience.

Trust the process. Enjoy the journey.

A Stage

Although being a photographer and a physical trainer are both fun and rewarding, nothing lights me up more than working with actors on a production. Last night a friend of mine invited me to her play rehearsal so I can work with the cast members on their character development.

Real Talk. Real Vulnerability. Real Growth. This inspires me and refreshes me.

IRONMAN 70.3

200 Days from now I will be running the scariest race of my life. The IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman in Cambridge, MD. The race requires: 1.2 mile Swim. 56 mile Bike. 13.1 mile Run.

This training will transform me. I will be using BeachBody, Muay Thai, Strength Training, and of course Triathlon Training. Keep me in your prayers. 🙂

Yes, even friends and family can be misguided in their attempts of “love” to point you in a different direction. Stay the course. You know it is the right one.
