With no father or brothers alive to accept their inheritance, the five daughters of Zelophehad rolled up on Moses to make sure they got their piece of the Promised Land. In front of the whole congregation they waxed knowledge about why they deserved a possession amongst their uncles.
After Moses took this matter up with God, the daughters were rightfully awarded their inheritance.
As all five daughters walked away, this Sister Sledge song was playing in the background:
“We are family, I got all my sisters with me, We are family, Get up everybody and sing”
Reflection:
The daughters of Zelophehad had faith in the promise God gave to them and the children of Israel about their promised land. Their faith was so strong they spoke up and out to obtain that promise.
What promises has God spoken over your life? Do you believe them? Are you willing to fight for them?

Two angels (with the appearance as men) roll up to the city of Sodom in the evening. The man called Lot, knowing the danger of the town at night, convinced the two angels to stay at his crib rather than have them sleep out in the street.
Before turning in to sleep there was a knock on Lot’s front door. It was the men of Sodom and they were hungry to have sexual relations with the two “men” who came into town.
As Lot went out to talk to these men, this Whodini song was playing in the background:
