The Biblical Remix – Wasn’t Me

The Biblical Remix – Wasn’t Me

Mark 14:66-72 – http://bit.ly/biblicalremixwasnotme

While the chief priests were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so they could put him to death, Peter was chilling outside in the courtyard waiting.

One of the servant girls looking at Peter blew up his spot saying he was one of Jesus’ peeps.  Peter denied it and moved away towards the gate.  Another girl saw Peter and blew up his spot again claiming he was down with Jesus.  Again Peter denied it.  Afterward when a group of people later called him out as being down with Jesus, Peter started cursing and swearing at them it wasn’t so.

In the background the reggae artist Shaggy was singing this chorus:

“It wasn’t me…It wasn’t me…It wasn’t me.”

Reflection:

You cannot deny your true character in the way God designed you.  When you follow the teachings and miracles of Jesus it sets you apart and makes you so unique others will notice it.

Do not be ashamed of Jesus or the Gospel as it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.

Esther 3:1-2 – http://bit.ly/biblicalremixlookatmenow

Having worked under King Ahasuerus, Haman got promoted to the highest ranking official in the government.  The King even ordered his servants to bow and pay homage to Haman wherever he was.

As Haman stepped outside of the palace with a new swag, this Chris Brown song was playing in the background.

“Look at me now, look at me now, Oh, I’m getting paper, Look at me now, oh look at me now, Yeah, Fresher than a…”

Reflection:

The danger of pride is that it puffs us up and makes us think we are all that.  The Bible says pride comes before a fall.

Even when we are promoted, we ought to remain humble knowing our promotion does not come from man, but our promotion comes from God.
